A Day in the Life of Your German Ancestor presented by Dr. Roger P. Minert.
The focus is on the Early Modern Era that runs from 1500 (Martin Luther) to 1800 (Napoleon). This presentation applies to all German Language States/Regions including Pomerania.
Dr. Minert received his doctoral degree from the Ohio State University in German language history and second language acquisition theory. He taught German language and history for 10 years, and then became a professional family history researcher. Accredited by the Family History Library for research in Germany and Austria, he worked for 12 years as a private genealogical researcher. From 2003 to 2019, he served as a professor of family history at Brigham Young University.
The author of 207 publications, Dr. Minert directs the research program "German Immigrants in American Church Records"; the series now consists of 37 volumes. In 2019, Dr. Minert was recognized for his years of service to the Palatines to America Society and also received the Shirley Riemer Lifetime Achievement Award from the International German Genealogy Partnership (IGGP). He was made a fellow of the Utah Genealogical Association in 2020.

A subscription is only $20 USD annually* which includes 4 email issues of our Die Pommerschen Leute (DPL) publication, 4 virtual events, 2 virtual Connection Sessions and 4 email issues of Pomeranian Special Interest Group News.
*Other subscription options exist at a slightly increased price to cover DPL mailing costs. The DPL delivery option (email versus mail) determines the subscription price.

Recordings and Refunds for the Virtual Event
This event will not be recorded. If you pay $15 for the virtual event and are unable to attend, a refund will be given. If you pay for a new subscription and are unable to attend, no refund will be given as there is a subscription in effect with all the benefits mentioned above.
