Die Vorfahren Index Search Page

The quarterly publication Die Pommerschen Leute originally included family group sheets that were submitted by our subscribers. The full names for each family group sheet are now in a searchable index so that researchers can locate family group sheets that might be of interest.

Here is an example of what names item 1159.2-1002 contains - DV Item.

This item provides all the names added to the Die Vorfahren Die Vorfahen full name index. Note: This search capability looks for exact surname matches and beginning given (first name) name matches. The given name entry can be left blank.

• Enter Name search - Enter a surname and, optionally the beginning of a given name (full name) in the Enter Name boxes below. This search provides you with all items with this name.
• Enter Submitter ID search - to see the full name lists for all the items a subscriber submitted over time, enter the submitters's ID number in the Enter Submitter ID box below.
• Enter Item ID box search - To obtain the list of all names in a single item, enter the Intem Number in the Enter Item ID box below. Each item published in Die Vorfahren was given a unique ID number. The largest Item ID is 8745 but not all numbers between 1 and 8745 were used. Also, some numbers were used more than once and are made unique by adding a decimal value between .1 and .4.
